The Free Zone Investors Commission Discusses Investors’ Issues in a Meeting Chaired by MP Mohammad Al-Bustanji
MP Mohammad Al-Bustanji, Chairman of the Free Zone Investors Commission, presided over a board meeting to discuss key issues concerning investors in the free zones.
The meeting addressed the adoption of a permanent sticker for American vehicles as an alternative to paper conformity certificates, aiming to streamline procedures and enhance clearance efficiency. The board also decided to engage with relevant authorities regarding vehicle deregistration documents and discussed the issue of used refrigeration units stuck in the free zone before the import ban was enacted. The commission will coordinate with the Ministry of Environment to find solutions for this matter.
During the meeting, Al-Bustanji reaffirmed the commission’s commitment to addressing investors’ challenges and working closely with the concerned authorities to ensure business continuity and enhance the investment environment in the free zones.
